Norfolk Senior High graduating seniors will get to keep their laptop
NORFOLK - Graduating seniors at Norfolk Senior High will get to keep the Chromebook they used throughout high school.
At the Board of Education meeting last week Director of Teaching and Learning Beth Nelson recommended the students keep the laptops because they will be four years old and near the end of its life.
Nelson said the students may get some additional use out of the devices, but they wouldn’t be suitable for continued school service.
She said the Chromebooks are currently engraved and have a number on them that will need to be taken off.
Nelson said no charge is recommended to the students, due to the fact that a student technology fee was charged each year of their use.
The board unanimously approved the recommendation.
