Baylor football names new wide receivers coach

January 21, 2018

Frisman Jackson has been named Baylor’s wide receivers coach after coaching the 2017 season for the NFL’s Tennessee Titans.

Frisman was wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator at Temple University in 2015-16 under Matt Rhule. Previously Frisman coached wide receivers at Western Illinois (2008-09), Akron (2010-11), Northern Illinois (2012) and North Carolina State (2013-14).

Jackson played four years in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns as he made 40 catches for 490 yards and a touchdown from 2002-05.

“I’m very excited to be back with Coach Rhule,” Jackson said. “I had a great time working with him at Temple. Getting back with coaches I have worked with before makes the transition easy and smooth.”

Jackson replaces Bob Bicknell on the Baylor coaching staff after he recently became the Cincinnati Bengals receivers coach.
