In Pictures: Art-House raises funds for Tiny Miracles
WESTPORT — Hoping to raise some funds for charity, inspire foot traffic, and highlight the importance of art and lifestyle, William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty has turned a new home they’re selling into an art house.
The work of a dozen area artists is being featured throughout the award-winning new home at 5 Ridgewood Lane, with 30 percent of proceeds on any art sold going to The Tiny Miracles Foundation charity based out of Darien.
“When I came to Westport,” explained realtor Imke Lohs at an open house Saturday afternoon, “I thought, ‘It’s not just about beautiful houses. It’s also about art and letting people experience a lifestyle that combines (them).’”
Designed and owned by realtor Susan Vanech, and built by John Tiago, of Fairfield, the house recently won a Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Connecticut Award for overall appearance.
