TOKYO (AP) _ Former major leaguer Doug Decinces’ second homer of the game, a two-run shot with two out in the ninth inning, gave the Yakult Swallows a 4-3 Japanese baseball victory the Hiroshima Toyo Carp Saturday.

Decinces, who went 4-for-4, also hit a two-run homer in the fourth. He has 13 home runs this season.

LEUKERBAD, Switzerland (AP) - Luc Roosen of Belgium won the fifth leg of the Tour de Suisse road cycling race Saturday, while Acacia Da Silva of Portugal retained the overall lead.

Roosen completed the 123-mile course in four hours, 38 minutes and 19 seconds, clocking an average speed of 26.4 mph under sunny skies and in strong wind.

He finished 18 seconds ahead of runner-up Beat Breu of Switzerland.

Da Silva finished seventh, 35 seconds behind, but kept the overall leader’s yellow jersey with an overall time of 23 hours, 11 minutes and 20 seconds.

Helmut Wechselberger of Austria remained in second place overall.
