Woman arrested in connection to suspicious fire deaths
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A Connecticut woman has been arrested in connection with the mysterious deaths of a family.
The Hartford Courant reports 23-year-old Ruth Correa was arrested Saturday on murder, arson and robbery charges following an investigation into the deaths of a Griswold couple found in a house fire.
The Dec. 20 fire killed Kenneth Lindquist and his wife Janet in their home. Their 21-year-old son Matthew disappeared after the fire. Human remains were found May 5, and have been identified as those of Matthew Lindquist.
State police say they expect to make more arrests as the investigation continues.
Correa is being held on $2.5 million bond and will be arraigned in Norwich Superior Court Monday. An attorney for Correa could not be immediately identified.
