Norfolk Seniors baseball wins Omaha Creighton Prep Tournament

The Norfolk Seniors baseball team won the Omaha Creighton Prep Tournament yesterday after winning all three games in dramatic fashion.

On Saturday, they scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to clip Omaha Creighton Prep Five Points Bank White 7-6. Yesterday, Norfolk rallied past Millard North Big Fred’s Mustangs 8-7 by scoring four runs in the bottom of the seventh on a walk-off single by Andrew Fleecs. TJ Price was 3-4 with four RBI, two runs scored, and a home run. Dylan Rodgers had three hits and drove in two runs. Fleecs was also the winning pitcher. Norfolk then shaded Bennington 7-6 by scoring six runs in the top of the seventh inning. Three different players had two hits in the win. Gavin Schultz earned the win in relief and Brandon Ellenwood picked up the save. Norfolk is now 13-16 on the season.
