Fidelity National: 3Q Earnings Snapshot
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) _ Fidelity National Information Services Inc. (FIS) on Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $154 million.
The Jacksonville, Florida-based company said it had profit of 29 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.43 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.35 per share.
The banking and payment technologies company posted revenue of $2.82 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.8 billion.
For the current quarter ending in December, Fidelity National expects its per-share earnings to range from $1.50 to $1.55. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had forecast adjusted earnings per share of $1.50.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $3.3 billion to $3.34 billion for the fiscal fourth quarter. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $3.32 billion.
Fidelity National expects full-year earnings in the range of $5.47 to $5.56 per share, with revenue ranging from $10.29 billion to $10.33 billion.
Fidelity National shares have climbed 28% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index has increased 23%. The stock has increased 26% in the last 12 months.
