Benton House welcomes Aiken native as new executive director

April 7, 2019 GMT

Nicole Simmons, who has a passion for serving others, recently became the new executive director at Benton House of Aiken, an assisted living center with specialized memory care services for seniors with degenerative mental diseases.

Simmons most recently served as executive director of Benton House of Augusta. She will assume the executive director position of the Aiken location this month.

Simmons was born and raised in Aiken County. She graduated from the University of South Carolina Aiken with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Her management experience spans over 15 years with more than a decade in healthcare.

She is very active in the Aiken community as the current President of Leadership Aiken County, past president and board member of Aiken County Helpline, and an honorary member of Aiken Sunrise Rotary. She has been awarded numerous community awards, including 2014 Rotarian of the Year.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, watching Clemson football, volunteering at local non-profits and spending time with her three daughters.

“It’s obvious and readily apparent that Nicole’s excitement and enthusiasm, along with her empathy for seniors, bodes well for the future growth and involvement at Benton House,” said Peter Sack, a current resident at the Benton House.

On May 1, Benton House will be celebrating its first anniversary with an open house event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will also be to welcome Simmons as the new executive director.
