Q: How has this fundraiser grown over the years?
A: We are celebrating 24 years of hosting this event, which was developed by the board as a prelude to St. Patrick’s Day as well as the popular Scranton St. Patrick’s Parade. We wanted to have an event that would bring the community together while raising awareness and funds for Serving Seniors Inc., which has served our community for over 43 years.
Q: What is included with admission?
A: Open bar will be available throughout the evening along with an array of delicious appetizers.
Q: What else will be on hand for entertainment?
A: Tony Vergnetti will provide jazz music and there will be a variety of themed baskets to raffle.
Q: What is your fundraising goal?
A: Our goal is to raise $7,500.
Q: How will proceeds be used?
A: Proceeds will benefit programs offered by Serving Seniors Inc., which serves more than 6,570 individuals and consumers of long-term care annually throughout Lackawanna, Monroe, Wayne and Pike counties. Programs include guardianship of person and estate services, ombudsman, volunteer ombudsman, nursing home volunteer visitation, community services transportation and PEER (PA Empowered Expert Residents) program.
