Ingeburg Pirozek

Ingeburg Pirozek, 88 years young, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, came to peace at her home in Sioux City on Saturday, June 23, 2018.

The family will hold a celebration of life on Aug. 11. Contact family for details.

She was born in Kassel, Germany, on Feb. 26, 1930, to Christine and Ernest Zeitler. She married Eugeniusz Pirozek on Dec. 25, 1948. Both became naturalized citizens of the United States on Oct. 18, 1955.

She enjoyed watching her family grow and prosper. She cared for and was loved by many. She was gracious, kind and giving. She will be missed, but never forgotten.

She is survived by her children, Donna O’Connor, Ralph Pirozek, Christine Fisher, Carmen (Howard) Hacht, Diane Harrison, Raymond (Lois) Pirozek, Barbara (Stephen) Kinney, Eugene (Cathy) Pirozek, and Mary (Michael) LaBarre; 28 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, Inge and Eva.

Eugeniusz preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Christine and Ernest; her brother, Fritz Zeitler; her sister, Lisa Domagala; nephew, Wilfred; her granddaughters, Collette Lamoreux, and Morgan Cordova; and daughter-in-law, Carol Pirozek.
