Ribery extends Bayern Munich contract by a year to 2018

MUNICH (AP) — French winger Franck Ribery has extended his contract with Bayern Munich by a year until June 2018.

The 33-year-old Ribery joined Bayern from Olympique Marseille in 2007 and has played 333 competitive matches for the German champion, scoring 108 goals.

Ribery said Sunday that he’s very happy to be able to play another year for Bayern. He said that “this great club and the city have become my home.”
