Lloyd Byxbe

Lloyd Thomas Byxbe, 85, of Baraboo, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 1, 2017.

Lloyd, son of Frederick and Mary Etta (Davis) Byxbe was born Oct. 18, 1931, in Greenville, Illinois. He served in the Army during the Korean War.

Lloyd loved spending time with his family. He was involved in many clubs over the years in Baraboo. For over 40 years he traveled all over the Midwest as a multiline representative for promotional products. He helped organize relief efforts during hurricane Hugo and Katrina.

Survivors include his loving wife, Karen (Frye) Byxbe; son, Rob (Karen) Byxbe of Baraboo, Tom Byxbe of Sebring, Florida, Sally Byxbe of Sebring, Florida; nine grandchildren, Rachel, Jonathan, Stephanie, Brandon, Justin, Valerie, Grace, Tom, Caroline; three great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Burke of Greenville, Illinois; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Melvin, Earl, Bob and Gene.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Walnut Hill Bible Church, 1900 East St., Baraboo, with Pastor David Hutchens officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery where military rites will be conducted.
