Springdale Township plans special meeting to fill vacant commissioners’ seat
Springdale Township commissioners will hold a special meeting Wednesday to decide who will fill a vacant seat on the board.
The new commissioner will fill the open seat left by the resignation of James Biery.
Biery served on the board of commissioners for six years and resigned April 24 for “personal reasons.”
The township is required by state law to fill the position within 30 days after accepting the resignation.
The new commissioner will serve the remaining year and a half left on Biery’s term.
