AllScripts: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
CHICAGO (AP) _ Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc. (MDRX) on Thursday reported a second-quarter loss of $149.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Chicago-based company said it had a loss of 90 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 17 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 12 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 16 cents per share.
The electronic health records company posted revenue of $444.5 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $445 million, which missed Street forecasts. Nine analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $448.2 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, AllScripts said it expects revenue in the range of $445 million to $455 million. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $448.6 million.
The company expects full-year earnings in the range of 65 cents to 70 cents per share.
AllScripts shares have climbed slightly more than 5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $10.16, a decrease of 25% in the last 12 months.
