Funerals set for homicide victims slain last week in Lawrence County
IRONTON — Funeral arrangements have been made for four people killed last week in the Pedro, Ohio, area.
Arron Lee Lawson, 23, of Township Road 1051, Ironton, is charged with murdering all four people Oct. 11. Lawson is being held in the Lawrence County Jail without bond.
Prosecuting Attorney Brigham Anderson will present the case Wednesday, Oct. 18, to a Lawrence County grand jury.
The victims include Donald McGuire, 50; his wife, Tammie L. McGuire, 43; her daughter, Stacey Jackson Holston, 24; and Holston’s son Devin Holston, 8, all of Pedro.
Funerals for the McGuires are set for noon Thursday, Oct. 19, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, Ohio, with Pastor Jim Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Ross Cemetery in Rush, Kentucky. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Payne appointed Scott Evans, an Ironton lawyer, as guardian for the McGuires’ 17-year-old son, Brandon.
Funeral services for Holston and her son are being handled by O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home in Ironton.
She is survived by Todd Holston and a 2-year-old son, Braxton, who was unharmed. Todd Holston was stabbed with a pocketknife when he returned home Oct. 11.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at the funeral home. Burial is scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday.
