LaVerne A. ‘Bud’ Farnsworth

FORT ATKINSON -- LaVerne A. “Bud” Farnsworth, 88, of Fort Atkinson, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018, at Reena Senior Living.

Bud was born on Dec. 30, 1929, in rural Whitewater, son of the late Floyd and Lena (Stork) Farnsworth. He married Darlene Schlee in Fort Atkinson on March 20, 1982.

Bud enjoyed attending auctions, bowling, hunting, playing cards, golfing, watching the Brewers and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Bud is survived by his children, Lillian (James) Burk of Spring, Texas, Lloyd (JoAnn) Farnsworth of South Hill, Virginia, Lyle (Julie) Farnsworth of Fort Atkinson, Cindy Farnsworth of La Crosse, Virginia, and Tammy (Ronald) Weber of Strum; stepchildren, Cindy (Stan) Langholff of Whitewater and Jayne (Ed) Czech of Fort Atkinson; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Leona Borchardt of Watertown; and many other relatives.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Darlene, on Oct. 13, 2012, and sister, Lucille Kucken.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. on Monday at the church until time of service. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
