Rhode Island gas prices remain unchanged
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island gasoline prices are holding steady and remain unchanged since last week.
AAA Northeast said Monday that a gallon of self-serve, regular is still selling for an average of $2.49.
Rhode Island’s current price is a dime lower than the national average, and 15 cents lower than the in-state price a year ago.
AAA found regular selling for as low as $2.35 and as high as $2.69 per gallon.
AAA spokesman Lloyd Albert says people traveling for Thanksgiving should consider gassing up well in advance because increased demand from later in the week could boost prices at the pump.
