Shooting on Adams leaves man critical
A man was in critical condition Monday night after being shot multiple times on Fort Wayne’s southeast side.
Shortly after 8 p.m., police responded to a reported shooting in the 3000 block of Adams Street, near its intersection with Manford Street.
Officers found a man lying in the front yard of a nearby home suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, according to Jason Anthony, Fort Wayne Police Department public information officer.
The man, who had not yet been identified, was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Anthony said the man had been outside when shot.
Officers found shell casings nearby and detectives were going door to door Monday night interviewing witnesses.
The incident remains under investigation by the FWPD. Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact police.
