Ware returns to prison on $2.5 million bond for Fox Lake homicide
JUNEAU— Laverne Ware Jr. has returned to jail on a $2.5 million cash bond for allegedly killing his girlfriend Sesalie Dixon who was found dead inside a truck parked in the garage of a Fox Lake residence on Dec. 4. Dixon died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Ware, 36, is charged with first degree intentional homicide in the death of Sesalie Dixon. He also faces charges of hiding a corpse, incest and two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He could face life in prison on the homicide charge alone.
Also charged in the case are Ware’s mother, Marjorie Jones, 64, and her boyfriend, Vernon Mickey, 59. Jones and Mickey are charged with harboring or aiding a felon and Jones also is charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Judge Steven Bauer set a $2.5 million cash bond for Ware on Tuesday. Ware was previously issued a $200,000 cash bond which he posted on Dec. 15. He had been residing in Milwaukee prior to the cash bond being reinstated. The $200,000 Ware has already posted will be applied to the $2.5 million cash bond.
