Nebraska-Omaha men’s basketball rallies past Western Illinois
Zach Jackson scored 25 points, including the go-ahead bucket, and KJ Robinson added 18 points as Nebraska-Omaha came back to take down Western Illinois 71-68 last night.
Jackson’s floater gave the Mavericks a 69-68 lead with 28 seconds left. He then went down the floor and blocked a Dalan Ancrum jumper before Mitch Hahn hit two free throws to ice it. The Leathernecks led for much of the first half, stretching their lead to as many as eight, and taking a four-point lead into the break. UNO, who trailed 34-30 at halftime, improves to 8-17 overall and 3-6 in the Summit League. Western Illinois falls to 11-12 overall and 2-8 in the conference.
