Music for Mike fundraiser set for Saturday, April 20

April 17, 2019 GMT

POCATELLO — In December of 2017, Mike Tegan started to feel pain and swelling in the back of his head. He was initially misdiagnosed and he only got worse.

Over the course of 8 months, Mike had been admitted to three separate hospitals, PMC, EIRMC, and University of Utah to bravely endure medical treatments.

University of Utah confirmed two symmetrical lesions on his brain and diagnosed what they believed to be a chronic inflammatory response and autoimmune disease.

His treatments, transportation and consultation costs are not all covered by insurance and with Mike’s inability to work has put great financial strain on his family. His wife Christy has been by his side the entire time, trying to make ends meet to the best of her ability.

Friends and family have organized a benefit to try to help the family with their immediate financial needs.

A fundraiser will be held on Saturday, April 20, at 4 p.m. at Duffy’s Tavern located at North 1304 N. Main Street in Pocatello.
