Prosecutors: Man gave woman shotgun she used to kill herself
PARAMUS, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a man who provided a woman with an illegally purchased shotgun that she used to kill herself has been charged with reckless manslaughter.
Bergen County prosecutors say Kenneth Pinte also faces a hindering apprehension charge and weapons offenses stemming from the shooting. It’s not known if the 21-year-old Paramus man has retained an attorney.
Authorities say the woman was found dead in the basement of her family’s Paramus home on Saturday. Investigators say they then traced the weapon to Pinte, who was charged Sunday.
Authorities say the investigation into the death is ongoing.
