Ogden Police searching for person of interest in June homicide

July 5, 2018

OGDEN — Police are looking for a person of interest in the murder of an Ogden man in June.

Keshaun Mykel Puente, 20, is 5-foot-5 and weighs 180 pounds. He has dark hair and brown eyes. In addition to being a person of interest in the shooting death of Denero Snider, 23, Puente has two active arrest warrants out of Weber and Davis counties, Ogden Police said in a news release. The other warrants are unrelated to the shooting.

Snider died Wednesday, June 13, after being shot multiple times in a parking lot on the 800 block of 23rd Street in Ogden. The shooter or shooters likely knew Snider, police told the Standard-Examiner previously.

Ogden Police Lt. Tim Scott said that no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting and that Puente is not currently being named as a suspect. Police are not releasing information about his last known location, Scott said.

Police say Puente is armed and, if sighted, the public should use caution, do not approach, and contact local law enforcement.

Anyone with information regarding Puente or the homicide can contact Ogden Police at detectives@ogdencity.com or Detective Lewis at 801-629-8438.
