March 23, 2019

LOWELL -- Ryan Lohin, UMass Lowell’s leading scorer the last two seasons, is turning professional and foregoing his senior season.

The Tampa Bay Lightning announced Friday they have signed Lohin to a two-year, entry-level contract.

The Lightning drafted Lohin in the seventh round of the 2016 NHL Draft. He scored 81 points in three seasons at UMass Lowell.

Lohin was a River Hawk co-captain last season with Connor Wilson.

He will report to Syracuse of the American Hockey League.
