Fastenal: 3Q Earnings Snapshot
WINONA, Minn. (AP) _ Fastenal Co. (FAST) on Friday reported third-quarter net income of $213.5 million.
The Winona, Minnesota-based company said it had net income of 37 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 35 cents per share.
The maker of industrial and construction fasteners posted revenue of $1.38 billion in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.37 billion.
Fastenal shares have climbed 19% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index has risen 17%. The stock has climbed 20% in the last 12 months.
