Fern Matilda (Haney) Losinski Loesel
COCHRANE, Wis. — Fern Matilda (Haney) Losinski Loesel, 96, of Cochrane passed away peacefully and quietly Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at St. Anne’s Health Care, Winona.
She was born Sept. 10, 1921, in the town of Milton, Wis., the daughter of Alfred and Esther (Bensel) Haney. She was a member of Dr. Martin Luther Church, Buffalo City. Fern loved quilting, sewing, knitting and crocheting. Fern enjoyed watching bull riding and knew all the professional bull riders by their names. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family. Fern was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers and Cubs. She was an excellent cook and gardener.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (Ted) Costarello of Eagle River, Wis., and Jeanne (Richard) Kinder of La Crosse, Wis.; sons, John (Cleo) Losinski of Fountain City, Wis., and Mark (Judy) Loesel of Galesville, Wis.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Marian Hartmann of Mobile, Ala.; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Losinski in 1949; second husband, Howard Loesel in 1995; sister, Catherine Pintaro; and brothers, Robert and Lyle Haney.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. with a hour visitation prior, Sunday, Nov. 26, at Christ Lutheran Church, Cochrane. Pastor Mark Wilde will be officiating.
