3. An Ector County deputy accidentally discharged a firearm around 1:07 p.m. Friday at the Ector County Courthouse Security Office.

4. Ector County Independent School District kicked off Red Ribbon Week in the parking lot of the administration building Monday with a rally that included a city proclamation, Buice Elementary School’s choir, the Permian High School JV Panther Paws and Permian drumline.
