PLYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) — Police in Plymouth say a 64-year-old woman and her 24-year-old daughter were killed when their car crossed the center line and struck another car head-on.

The accident happened on Federal Furnace Road shortly after 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police say the older woman lived in Carver and was driving with her daughter when their car crossed into oncoming traffic. The mother was pronounced dead at the scene and her daughter died at a hospital. Their names haven't been released.

Officials say a 24-year-old Kingston man who was driving the other car was injured and is hospitalized in stable condition.

State and Plymouth police are trying to determine the cause of the crash.
