SEATTLE (AP) — A registered sex offender with two prior convictions for molesting children has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography.

Douglas Blouin of Sedro Woolley, Washington, was sentenced Thursday in federal court. He’ll be on 10 years of supervised release once he served his sentence.

An agent with Homeland Security discovered that Blouin was sharing child porn during an investigation. He had been convicted in 1998 in Skamania County on molestation charges.

When law enforcement searched Blouin’s home, he admitted to using peer-to-peer software to download the porn and used “scrubbing” software to remove it from his electronic devices.
