Two persons of interest arrested in Ciara Philumalee homicide
Two people wanted for questioning in the Ciara Philumalee homicide Friday morning have been arrested.
Jennifer Lovick, 34, and Korey Johnson, 33, were taken into custody Wednesday morning by Dane County sheriff’s deputies, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The two are persons of interest in the slaying of Philumalee in the parking lot of a Karstens Drive apartment building on Madison’s North Side early Friday morning.
“The couple were taken into custody just before 10 a.m. after a citizen recognized Johnson at the Pine Cone restaurant on Highway 51 near Windsor,” said spokeswoman Elise Schaffer.
After Johnson’s arrest, deputies searched for and found Lovick in Token Creek Park. Law enforcement had been looking in the park for the two on Tuesday.
Both Johnson and Lovick were turned over to Madison police.
