Brewers: Domingo Santana homers twice in loss to Angels
Milwaukee right fielder Domingo Santana homered twice, but the Los Angeles Angels rallied for a 6-5 win over the Brewers on a walk-off single by David Fletcher on Friday at Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.
Santana, who is coming off an injury-plagued first season with Milwaukee, hit a two-run homer off Angels starter Matt Shoemaker in the first and delivered a solo shot off Abel De Los Santos in the third.
Angels reliever Huston Street departed with right triceps irritation after facing two batters and is scheduled to undergo an MRI.
Right-hander Junior Guerra, a potential Opening Day starter for the Brewers, pitched two hitless innings with one walk and one strikeout.
Rotation mate Jimmy Nelson followed and allowed one run on one hit with two strikeouts in one inning.
