WDFW commission adopts hunting rule, seasons

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife commission adopted hunting seasons and regulations this month.

At the meeting April 5-6 in Olympia, the nine-member commission, appointed by the governor, approved rules governing hunter orange, arrow weight restrictions and eliminating antlerless deer hunting in Northeast Washington.

Changes included:

The elimination of antlerless white-tail deer hunting in Northeast Washington.

Clarifying that turkey hunters must only wear hunter orange during modern firearm and elk seasons.

Eliminating minimum arrow weight restrictions
