Durbin endorses Dady in Congressional race
LOVES PARK – U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin is endorsing Democratic candidate Sara Dady for the 16th District Congressional race.
Dady, a Rockford immigration attorney, is running against incumbent U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Channahon, in the Nov. 6 election.
“We need to make sure people like Sara are in the U.S. House of Representatives to keep an eye on the policies of this President that do not help working families, do not protect the environment, and do not guarantee our most basic rights in the country,” Durbin said during a news conference in Loves Park on Tuesday. “I want to make sure Sara Dady is by my side in Washington as the next elected member of Congress.”
The 16th District covers all of Lee, Ogle,Bureau, Boone, Grundy, Iroquois, LaSalle, Livingston, and Putnam counties, and parts of DeKalb, Ford, Stark, Will and Winnebago counties.
