HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP Shelton volleyball advances in SCC tournament

SHELTON — Jess Foss had 25 assists, eight digs and five aces to lead Shelton over Hamden, 3-1, in the quarterfinals of the SCC girls volleyball tournament Tuesday evening.

Grace Boles added seven kills, six digs and three aces and Elizabeth Casinelli chipped in 10 kills, three digs and one ace for the Gaels (16-4), who won 25-23, 23-25, 26-24 and 25-18. Second-seeded Shelton will host third-seeded Amity in the semifinals on Thursday at 5.
