Man shot, wounded on subway platform near City Hall
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police say a man was shot and wounded on a subway platform across the street from Philadelphia’s City Hall during the afternoon rush-hour period.
Police say an altercation occurred on the 15th and Market Street station platform shortly before 3:30 p.m. Monday.
A 19-year-old man was shot once in each of his upper thighs. He was taken to Jefferson University Hospital and listed in stable condition.
Transit police with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority were at the scene. City police say no arrests had been made although the suspect’s identity is known.
