Authorities searching for Akron man charged in shooting

AKRON, Ohio -- Authorities are searching for an Akron man who is charged in a Thursday shooting in the city’s Goodyear Heights neighborhood.

Anthony D. Lamb, 44, is charged with felonious assault in the shooting on Marks Avenue near Brittain Road, police said.

Lamb is not in custody but a warrant was issued for his arrest, police said.

Lamb is accused of shooting a 44-year-old man in the left thigh about 7:30 a.m. , according to a police report.

Investigators have not offered a motive for the shooting.

Akron Fire Department paramedics took the victim to Summa Akron City Hospital for treatment. An update on his condition was not immediately available.
