MidSouth: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) _ MidSouth Bancorp Inc. (MSL) on Thursday reported a loss of $2.9 million in its second quarter.
The bank, based in Lafayette, Louisiana, said it had a loss of 22 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions, came to 17 cents per share.
The bank holding company posted revenue of $22.7 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $20.7 million, surpassing Street forecasts.
MidSouth shares have risen 13% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $12.03, a decline of 16% in the last 12 months.
