n Today, the Portneuf Sangha and Meditation Center will view the next portion of a recorded retreat led by Pema Chodron, entitled Making Friends with Yourself. In this section, she continues teaching about the concepts of impermanence and no self. Pema Chodron is an American Buddhist nun in the Shambhala tradition who is highly regarded for her down to earth and humorous teaching. The morning begins at 10 a.m. with a thirty-minute silent meditation period with guidance offered for those who would like it. After the meditation, the filmed teaching will be shown, and a brief discussion will follow. Light refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome. There is no charge, and donations are welcomed.
