HUNTINGTON — Marshall University sophomore Anna Smith, from Venetia, Pennsylvania, was an All-Conference USA women’s tennis second-team selection.

Smith won 30 matches during the season — 19 singles and 11 doubles.

“This is a well-earned honor for Anna,” Marshall head coach John Mercer said in a HerdZone.com release. “She has worked hard both on and off the court and has really taken her game to another level this year. We look forward to seeing how high her ceiling is during the next two years.”

Smith was previously named to the C-USA All-Academic Team.
