Connecticut man gets 2 years for stealing guns
NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) — A 20-year-old Connecticut man charged with stealing guns and other offenses has been sentenced to two years in prison.
The Norwich Bulletin reports that Charles Cordero was also sentenced Thursday in New London Superior Court to four years’ probation.
Police say in February 2018 the Norwich man stole a shotgun, .22 caliber rifle, and handgun that had been kept in a safe at an acquaintance’s grandmother’s house.
Norwich police arrested Cordero in April 2018. He has been in jail since then, held on a total of $165,500 bonds in that and several other cases.
Cordero in April reached a plea deal under which he agreed to plead guilty to two counts of stealing firearms.
