Metz Culinary Management Raises $38,727.18 For Dinner For Kids
Ruth’s Chris Steak House and its franchisee, Metz Culinary Management, held its second annual Ruth’s Chris Golf Classic at Huntsville Golf Club in October and the tournament raised a total of $38,727.18 for Dinners for Kids, a program that addresses food insecurity for students in the Wyoming Valley West and Dallas school districts. Dinner for Kids was started in 2011 by Dave and Edna Tevet, former owners of Ollie’s American Restaurant in Edwardsville. In the first year, the couple allocated food to volunteers who delivered weekly meals to 40 school-aged children in need, resulting in 7,800 meals provided at the end of the first year. The 2019 Ruth’s Chris Golf Classic is scheduled for Oct. 7 at Huntsville Golf Club.
