St. Joe clobbers Hannan 22-1 in sectional play
HUNTINGTON — Huntington St. Joe (14-8) scored 16 runs in the first inning on its way to 22-1 triumph over Hannan (3-14) in the Class A, Region IV, Section 2 high school baseball tournament Monday at the YMCA Kennedy Center. Noah Beter went 2-for-2 with four runs batted in. Corey Sweeney was 4-for-4 with three RBI. Luke Stollings was 3-for-3 with three RBI.
Hunter Eplin went 3-for-5 with three RBI. Bronson Barker was 2-for-2 with two RBI. Lenny Washington went 2-for-4 and drove in two.
Max Adkins was 2-for-5 with two RBI. The Irish advance to take on the winner of Monday’s game featuring Buffalo and Van.

GREEN 13, WESTERN-PIKE 0: Kasey Kimbler and Kori Derifield each drove in two runs to lead the Bobcats (13-9) to a sectional tournament victory over the Indians.
