Cash donations stolen from Moses AutoMall

HUNTINGTON — The following information was provided by a police report filed in the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office:

BURGLARY: A burglary that occurred early Thursday at two Moses AutoMall locations on U.S. 60 resulted in damage to the property and missing cash.

A known total of $1, 556 was stolen from the locations, including approximately $400 from a donation fund for a previous employee who had recently died. An unknown amount was taken from two safes.

One location sustained damage to five exterior doors. Surveillance footage shows two unknown masked suspects making entry into an office at approximately 2:27 a.m. Thursday. The police report advises the suspects knew where the safes were and which doors did not have alarms, as no alarm was reported to 911.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The Huntington Police Department listed 17 new incident reports in the 24-hour period ending at 3 p.m. Friday, according to the printout released by the department. However, the individual police reports were not made available, so these are the only known details:

Shoplifting, 1:20 a.m. Friday, 700 block of 6th Avenue.

Suspended/revoked license — miscellaneous; DUI less than .150, 12:13 a.m. Friday, 2600 block of 5th Avenue.

Shoplifting — first and second offense, 11:55 p.m. Thursday, Madison Avenue and West 15th Street.

Warrant service/execution, 8:20 p.m. Thursday, 800 block of 8th Street.

Destruction of property — misdemeanor, 6:09 p.m. Thursday, 300 block of Marcum Terrace.

Burglary, entry of dwelling or outhouse, 4:35 p.m. Thursday, 1700 block of Buffington Avenue.

Runaway juvenile, 2:45 p.m. Thursday, unit block of West 6th Avenue.

Forty-eight-hour parking violation, 2 p.m. Thursday, Norway Avenue and Green Oak Drive.

Information report, 12:57 p.m. Thursday, 1000 block of 8th Avenue.

Destruction of property — misdemeanor, 7 p.m. Wednesday, 500 block of 2nd Street.

Found property, noon Thursday, 100 block of Gallaher Street.

Petit larceny, 9:29 a.m. Thursday, 900 block of 10th Avenue.

Petit larceny, 9:29 a.m. Thursday, 2200 block of Adams Avenue.

Stolen auto/auto theft, 9 p.m. Wednesday, 1900 block of Bungalow Avenue.

Destruction of property — misdemeanor, 8 p.m. Wednesday, 900 block of 27th Street.

Grand larceny, robbery — second degree, 4:04 a.m. Thursday, 2200 block of 5th Avenue.

Fugitive from justice, warrant service/execution, 2 a.m. Thursday, 8th Street and 6th Avenue.

The following information was provided by booking records kept at Western Regional Jail:

Tina Marie Dixon, 45, was jailed at 6:45 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with third-offense shoplifting. Bond was $10,000.

Christopher Lloyd Mayes, 38, was jailed at 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with transferring stolen property, grand larceny, false pretense, burglary, conspiracy, shoplifting and obstructing. A partial $3,000 bond was set.

Brian Paul Mitchell, 41, was jailed at 10:55 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with receiving or transferring stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended or revoked license for miscellaneous reasons. Bond was $16,000.

Valerie Angela Marie Kidd, 29, was jailed at 8:45 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Wayne County charged her with altered Sudafed or precursors. Bond was not set.
