Man shot in arm outside of South Carolina mall
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a man was shot in the arm in the parking lot of a South Carolina mall during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Orangeburg Department of Public Safety spokesman Lt. Anthony Robinson said the shooting happened Saturday afternoon at the Prince of Orange Mall.
The mall was placed on lockdown for about two hours after officers arrived so they could investigate.
Robinson says when officers arrived, witnesses were running two different directions and the victim couldn’t be found.
Robinson told media outlets the victim’s father took him to the hospital, and it appears he will recover from a gunshot to the upper arm.
Investigators have made no arrests and did not give a motive for the shooting.
