NWS: Rain forecasted for Connecticut
After a week of sweltering heat, cooler weather is finally upon the Gold Coast.
Norwalk’s temperature was 76 degrees just after 1 p.m. with light rain forecasted, according to the National Weather Service. The low for the evening was expected to be 62 degrees with mostly clear skies.
The tri-state area is experiencing rain, but there is no longer a threat for flash flooding, NWS said.
The showers come after Connecticut was under a heat advisory earlier this week. Part of eastern New York had an extreme heat warning, as higher temperatures combined with humidity made for hotter weather.
