Rollstone Bank Donates $5G to Theatre Guild
FITCHBURG -- Rollstone Bank & Trust recently donated $5,000 to the New Players Theatre Guild.
The money will be used toward a new heating, ventilating and air-conditioning system in the guild’s building on Rollstone Street.
“Arts and culture are important to the well-being of any city, and the NPTG is an important part of that in Fitchburg,” said Martin F. Connors Jr., president and CEO of Rollstone Bank & Trust. “Giving back to the community is a priority for us at RBT. We donate to a variety of worthy causes in our area, and are happy to help the NPTG improve its facility.”
Nancy King, president of NPTG, said: “I have been heartened by the various levels of support that New Players Theatre Guild has received from community businesses in Fitchburg, Leominster and Ashby, but I am especially grateful for this generous donation from the Rollstone Foundation, which, when combined with our own hard-earned funds, will bring heat and air conditioning to our much-loved theater.”
