Facebook threat results in arrest
WESTPORT — An alleged threat over social media violated a protective order and resulted in a town resident’s arrest Thursday.
A woman complained to police last month that Giuseppe A. Boccanfuso, 30, had threatened her several times via Facebook, a violation of the court order, Lt. David Farrell said.
One of the posts read “watch your six,” the police spokesman said.
A warrant for Boccanfuso was issued and the suspect was stopped Thursday while driving his gray Jeep by Officer James Baker, who was aware of the warrant.
The suspect was identified by his drivers’ license and charged with criminal violation of a protective order. He was released after posting a $10,000 bond and was due in court Friday afternoon.
