Public hearings held next month on waterfowl hunting
MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — Wildlife management officials in Vermont and New York are holding public hearings next month on the status of waterfowl populations on Lake Champlain and proposed hunting seasons for them.
The hearings will be held on Tuesday, March 12, at the senior citizens building at the Whitehall Recreation Center in Whitehall, New York, and on Thursday, March 14, at the Winooski High School.
The meetings will run from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
They are being held by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department and board, who encourage waterfowl hunters to attend and share their opinions.
