Temperatures soar to 80s with sunny skies: Cleveland, Akron Thursday weather

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Break out the sunblock and cool glasses Thursday in Northeast Ohio. Summer-like weather returns with roasting highs in the 80s, and sunny skies to make it feel even hotter.

But this is Cleveland, so temperatures will swing. In the early morning, low temperatures will settle in the 50s, although most commuters will probably hit temperatures in the 60s and 70s -- things will be warming fast.

By the afternoon, most areas will skyrocket over 80 degrees. It shouldn’t be horrendously humid, as dew points will remain below 60 degrees, but that sun could create a bit of a heat index. It will feel slightly warmer than actual temperatures.

The evening will stay dry thanks to an area of high pressure, and temperatures will drop back into the 60s by midnight.
