Union cleanup day set for May 4

CHESAPEAKE, Ohio — Union Township’s semi-annual cleanup day will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. — or until trash receptacles are full — Saturday, May 4, at the Township lot on Coryville Road in Chesapeake.

Items that are not being accepted are tires, hazardous materials, paint or paint cans, household garbage, and brush and yard waste.

Those who wish to participate should bring proof of residence. The Proctorville and Chesapeake-Union Township fire departments are assisting in the cleanup efforts and will be accepting donations.
